Dance on Female Divinity using Kuchipudi and Gnaoua Traditions

This piece talked about the evolution of the female divine in both Kuchipudi and Gnaoui Traditions. Gnaoua is the traditional dance of the Gnaoua people and involves the idea that the musician heals the sick through rhythms and trances called lilas.

This piece mixes the artistic movements of Shilpa Darivemula in Kuchipudi dance and Camilea El-Hakem’s contemporary Gnaoua dance.
