Aseemkala means Arts Without Borders in Sanskrit

We are a group of physicians, artists, creatives dedicated to transforming medicine for womxn through the lens of traditional arts

About Us

Our bodies tell stories in sickness and in health. They have done so for centuries. Too often, these stories go unheard, especially in medicine.  At Aseemkala, we believe these stories need to be shared and to be seen.
Our mission is to reframe medical narratives in the context of traditional arts and culture to empower womxn to realize their potential as changemakers in the world of healthcare.

Radical change in medicine begins with our stories in the diverse forms of expression our bodies are capable of. It is time to share these voices and transform healthcare for all womxn of color.
